various fire prevention activities. The department does this through its fire prevention division.
One of the activities undertaken by this division revolves around the administration of fire codes
and standards (Tucson FD, 2021). It does this by conducting regular building inspections to
ensure that the buildings conform to the enacted local fire codes and standards. In addition to
this, the fire prevention division also conducts regular civic education to community members.
They do this to sensitize the public on the various measures and strategies they can adapt to
mitigate the risk of fire and lessen the impact of fires (Tucson FD, 2021). The division also
