- identify the various types of elder abuse;
- explain one theory for the reason that elder abuse occurs;
- discuss the effects that the elder abuse has on the victim’s family;
- provide a solution or tip for reporting elder abuse; and
- support your brochure with information about one bill, act, or intervention program aimed at reducing elder abuse.
Support your brochure with at least two images or graphics. Your assignment must be four pages in length. Adhere to APA Style when creating citations and references for this assignment. APA formatting, however, is not necessary.

Different state laws differ in elder adult crimes. There are enacted statutes in some states to deal with criminals of elder abuse. However, other states prosecute the crimes based on other laws like financial, theft, or fraud. Old age also differs in different states depending on how their statutes categories age. Old age starts from sixty years in some states, while it starts from sixty-five in other states. However, not only elders’ people are abused, children, disabled and street people who also need protection as they can’t protect themselves. In my opinion, I would wish those abused elder people to be sponsored in court by the government as many people never seek legal help due to financial instability.
