The Cold War was not America’s fault because the U.S. was responding to the Soviet’s aggressive expansionism. For example, the U.S. started airlifting food and other supplies into West Berlin after the Berlin Blockade by the Soviets. Furthermore, the Soviet Union started to provide economic, military, and technical assistance to the Asian communist governments.
