Answer preview
Endometriosis is one of the female reproductive disorders affecting millions of women across the world. It affects women’s uterus. Rolla (2019) illustrates endometriosis occurs when a layer of tissues develops and grows on the uterine wall or anywhere else. It can grow in other places like ovaries, behind the uterus, on the bladder, or on the bowels. In rare cases that endometriosis grows on the other body parts. This condition can cause infertility, pain, or even heavy periods. In most cases, the pain is felt in the lower back, abdomen, or pelvic areas. Some women do not experience pain but get trouble getting pregnant. Some of the condition risk factors include not giving birth, women with short menstrual cycles, those with heavy menstrual cycles that last for about a week, those approaching menopause, low body mass index, reproductive tract abnormalities, any medical condition preventing the normal flow of menstrual flow from the body and others.
