Annotated Bibliography
For this this Annotated Bibliography, you will research at least five peer-reviewed articles published within the last ten years to support your analysis of one of the following topics:

The topic you choose should be based on the area in which you would most like to develop your knowledge. Your choice should also consider your current interests in psychology and support your future career or personal goals.
There are 4 components to this assignment:
- Introduction: Include your chosen focus area and your motivation for choosing this area to study further
- The Annotated Bibliography itself
- A Conclusion
- A list of APA formatted references.
The Choosing Your Focus paper

- Must begin with an introductory paragraph that clearly states the chosen construct and your motivation for choosing this topic.
- Must clearly discuss each article in your own words using critical thought.
- Must end with a conclusion that synthesizes the findings within the articles as they relate to your chosen content.

Today behavioral analysis is an important approach in psychology, as was first described by John B Watson in 1913. While many changes have occurred in the field, including a name change from behaviorism to behavioral analysis, it remains an accurate pragmatic approach in psychology. Since Oklahoma and Nevada became the first states to license behavior analysts in 2009, 31 states require licensure, indicating continuous recognition of behavioral analysis practitioners in policies, regulations, and laws. My primary career and personal goals are to be a behavioral analyst to treat individuals with intellectual and or behavioral disabilities for improving the quality of living. I am interested in exploring this field further to understand the hand and soft skills needed in supporting especially children and adults with intellectual and emotional disabilities.
