Using the selected articles in the University Library, research and review various government and academic reports detailing the emergency management response to either Hurricane Katrina or the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

Some of the terms related to emergency management utilized in the articles are as follows. The first term is the incidence command system, which defines a standardized approach used to coordinate, control, and command the first responders.
