Intimate partner violence IPV refers to domestic violence by a current or former spouse against the other one. It may take several forms, such as psychological, physical, sexual, and or verbal. It is characterized by coercion, aggression, and a controlling habit or tendency from either spouse. As per research studies, men are the most perpetrators of these intimate crimes (Lee, Bright, & Betz, 2020). It contributes to bodily harm and may contribute to mental health challenges for the couple. Globally, there have been many forms of violence perpetrated among partners, raising concern for the social problem.
