Reaching such a standard is very difficult. However, there is a way that nonprofits can pay their staff the salaries they expect to get while at the same time adhering to the dictates of donors. Nonprofits should endeavor to change the mindset of donors (Stannard-Stockton, 2008). They should make people understand that charity goes beyond handing over money to a nonprofit enterprise. I ascribe to the school of thought which dictates that funders need to recognize that nonprofits do not run themselves. Just like any other job, those working for nonprofits need to get their fair share of compensation.

Non-profit entities have to settle on average employees if they wish to meet the demands of donors.
