In Riverside California efforts to handle youth violence are focused to the victim and not the perpetrator. The concern is on the increased trauma among youths who are victims of violence. Engagement programs through the CDC are also available in Riverside. The perpetrators of youth violence have once been victims and as such an approach that is focused on the trauma of both would be better. The community considers reinforcing youth violence from the health professional perspective to the interactions with other community members like family and school.
