Answer preview A close relationship between covenants and contracts is always assumed, and in most cases, individuals erroneously use the two terms interchangeably. The Biblical covenants, however, differ significantly to the business contracts (Elazar, 2017). In the Israel culture, all human relations were transformed through covenants, making a promise and keeping them were the main features. An individual who enters into a covenant is obligated to respond to the partner beyond the terms of the law while in a contract the law requires the fulfillment of the contractual requirements agreed by the parties concerned. The covenants would be viewed to be flexible and some aspects but very firm on the others. In the old testaments the Israelites entered into contracts with God, and unlike deals, there is no provision for unilateral nullification under any circumstances. For these guidelines, the Christians who have the basis for mutual trusts in relationships fulfill the obligation for trust and commitments while providing goods and services. The focus of the study is in the business world for Christian stakeholders. The Biblical view of conducting business activities and agreement is based on a moral obligation and building relationships while maximizing the profits.(1701words)
