Introduction

Death punishment is commonly referred to as capital punishment. It is punishment done by execution when the government decides to kill a person mainly because the crime that they have committed is serious.  The death penalty is something that has always been a controversial topic and disputed by many. Some argue that it deters crime while others say that it does not.

Arguments for

Some of the crimes are so inherently wrong that executing the person that is committing them is the only way to stop them take, for instance, a serial killer.
