Background of Pura Fe

Pura Fe happily agreed to my interview; however, she did not consent to an audio or video recording which I respected.  Pura Fe is currently associated with Native American music. I got to learn more about her history considering that she was a descendant of the Tuscarora tribe. Having been born in New York City, Pura Fe’s mother and grandparents ensured that she had a nice upbringing. I asked Pura Fe what inspired her, and she told me, “My parents, especially my mother, inspired me, and she made me appreciate the native music.” I learned that the mother, Nanice Lund was a great figure since she was a trained classical opera singer.
