As you have learned, managers have their own responsibilities to perform and they also determine what work should be delegated to subordinates to perform. Good managers know that “it takes a team” to succeed. Poor managers believe it is easier to do it all yourself rather than explain what needs to be done to others, therefore depriving those others of additional learning opportunities. Conduct academic research on delegation as a management tool.
