– Describe the significance of testing your network design. Use a real-world example to illustrate your point.
One way to approach this discussion consists of finding some Network testing tools then, see what they test. And then tah-dah what they test comprises the significance of testing the network design.
Question 2
“Network Tools.” Please respond to the following:
Compare and contrast the network tools that you researched. Identify which you highly recommend and state why.
– Okay, for the first discussion question this week we just found generic tests. Now analyze the tools comparatively to see which one delivers the most value. Consider that value could be that it delivers the best test or that it delivers more tests or that it’s cheaper then other tools.
Growth and Development Assessment Project Guidelines:
Choose a person you know well and complete a developmental analysis of this person’s current period of development. You can choose a person from any of the developmental stages excluding infancy and toddlerhood. Through observation and communications with the person, assess the individual’s current period of development. Within that specific period of life, provide a detailed comparison of the subject’s physically, cognitive, and psychosocial development to the established norms, developmental milestones, and theories from textbooks and scholastic resources. All three areas of development (physical, cognitive, and psychosocial) must be examined in depth with various theories, established norms, and examples of met and unmet developmental tasks. The assessment is not a chronological lifespan report on a single theorist. It should focus primarily on the individual’s current period of life. However, if the person has unmet tasks, you can examine earlier periods of life influential to the delay.
This analysis needs to be a minimum of 4 completed pages of content (excluding title page, reference page, and charts) and a maximum of 6 pages. Again, be sure to utilize various theories, established norms, and developmental milestones and apply those to all three areas of development of your chosen person.
Objectives:
Summarize an individual’s current period of development according to textbook information and various theorists.
Recognize unmet or uncompleted tasks of the individual’s current period of development.
Identify measures to assist the individual to achieve the tasks of his/her stage of development.
Learning Activities:
Select an individual and arrange a time to observed and interviewed.
Review lecture and readings on relevant stages of development.
Observe and discuss with the individual (or parents) specific issues and topics related to physical, cognitive, and psychosocial growth and development.
Prepare a report (4-6 pages) to include the following:
Include an overview (introduction) of the individual’s biographical data: ex. age, sex, family structure, living arrangements, occupation.
Summarize the theoretical description of the individual’s current period of development.
Compare the individual’s current cognitive, physical, and psychosocial development to various theories expected norms, and developmental milestones. Comparisons must be from the required textbook and a minimum of one outside scholastic reference.
Recognize which development tasks have been achieved and/or are still unmet. Provide scholastic evidence based on the analysis of the observation and interview to the theories, established norms, and developmental milestones.
Indicate measures to assist or maintain the individual’s effort to accomplish age-appropriate developmental tasks.
One-page write-up using the framework in Porter’s "What is Strategy?
Assignment: An investor is considering making a small investment in a startup company.Wefunder is a private equity funding platform. On WeFunder, you can invest directly in a company in exchange for equity. In other words, the Wefunder pitch is a not a Kickstarter campaign, but more like a venture capital investment. In fact, it’s kind of like shark tank, only the deal terms are clearly spelled out ahead of time.
No industry specific knowledge is required or assumed. No need to do much or any outside research on the topic.
Instructions: You have two options. Please pick only one of the two options to do your write-up on:
Note 1: In your write-up, please give your argument only using the framework in Porter’s “What is Strategy?” reading as well as our in-class discussion from class 1. Please do not use any other theory frameworks, such as 5 Forces or frameworks that you’ve learned in other classes such as SWOT.
Note 2: Please don’t get lost in the minutiae of the investment decision itself. This is meant to be an analysis using Porter’s “What is strategy?” article. So don’t worry about the investment specifics. You can assume that you are investing in equity shares at a fair price. If the company is good and passes Porter’s theories, then it’s a good investment.
Questions for Your Writeup:
You don’t need to answer these questions in essay format. You can just answer the questions one at a time. No need to copy and paste the questions unless you need to waste space and make it look like you wrote more than you did.
Length: 12 pt font. 1-page max. I prefer the 1.15 standard spacing, but double-spaced is fine too.
1. What trade-offs, if any, is the company making (i.e. the company that you chose)? According to Porter’s argument in pages 8-10 of What is Strategy?, Is the company making the kind of “trade-offs” that lead to a sustainable competitive advantage?
2. Does the company have a unique and valuable position? According to Porter’s argument in pages 4-8 of What is Strategy, why or why not?
3. Does the company integrate activities in a way that creates “fit”? According to Porter’s argument in pages 10-15 of What is Strategy, why or why not? Is this activity “fit” hard to imitate?
4. Based on your conclusions from above, would you recommend that the investor invest in the company? Why or why not? Use Porter’s ideas from the What is Strategy article to justify your rationale.
[Reminder: Please do not include a case summary orintroduction to these short assignments. Please get right into answer the questions. In fact, you do not need to even include your names on the document as that just takes up precious space. Names are are automatically tagged in Blackboard. Your help is much appreciated.]
