Psy 338 Industrial and Organizational Psychology

Psy 338 Industrial and Organizational Psychology

  1. Create a training plan for the organization that includes how you will evaluate training needs, how it fits into the performance management scheme, incentives, evaluation of the training itself, and (in great detail) methods for delivery of said training. (3 pages)
  2. Also include as part of your submission at least one piece of stimulus (a flyer or handout are good suggestions) that would be disseminated as part of a training session (you will want to include your company name and logo on this, of course). (1 page)
  3. Your submission should be in APA format; use 12-point Times New Roman Font with 1” margins all around. Avoid first person, passive voice, ambiguous pronoun references, awkward grammar, and misspellings. Remember, you are representing the organizational leadership in your submission. Write at least 3 pages double spaced, not including the handout (“stimulus”), reference page, or title page (both of which should be included, but do not count toward the 3 page minimum).
  4. Be sure to use the principles of psychology from your chapters and other sources within your submission, and BE EXPLICIT about it.

Required Resources

Read/review the following resources for this activity:

  • Minimum of 5 scholarly sources (This includes the sources from the annotated bibliography. Additional sources may be included as appropriate.) ATTACHED

Instructions
This week you will submit your final paper.

The paper should include the following:

  • Create your own 4-6 paragraph “dilemma” based on the controversial topic you chose in Week 3.
    • Summarize the dilemma.
    • Identify the key points of the dilemma.
    • Define the key terms associated with the dilemma.
    • Analyze the conflicts or controversies involved in the dilemma.
    • Provide an original point of view relative to the dilemma and the issue it signals.
  • Apply Kant’s Categorical Imperative to the dilemma.
  • Apply one other method you have encountered in lecture material and the readings.
  • State which of the two methods you selected you prefer and why.
  • Use the 5 articles from your annotated bibliography. (Additional academic scholarly research from the past 5 years can be included as well.)

Include a reference page at the end of your paper in APA format that includes your bibliography with the annotations removed and any other sources used in your final paper.

Paragraphs

  • Paragraphs are composed around topics, which naturally and organically emerge from a complex, focused, and sophisticated thesis.
  • Each paragraph explores one topic and one topic only.
  • Topics directly relate to the thesis and are not theses in and of themselves.
  • The paragraph completely and fully develops and explains the topic and provides details, examples, illustrations, and quotations from research as well as from the primary texts.
  • Topics and paragraphs rise above commonplace thinking and summary.
  • Quoted material is used powerfully to support analytical points (and not as padding).
  • There is a graceful transition to the next paragraph.
  • The ideas explored are significant, substantive, and instructive.
  • Ideas/topics support the overarching thesis so that the paper is a unified whole, and not a concatenation of appended mini-essays.

Grammar/Mechanics/Style

  • Grammar refers to the correct usage of Standard American English.
  • Mechanics refers to idiomatic conventions (capitalization of proper nouns, spelling, and punctuation).
  • Style refers to persuasiveness, sophistication, wit, and transcendent quality.
  • Sentences should be varied in length and complexity without loss of clarity or precision of meaning.
  • Style makes a paper a pleasure to read.

Writing Requirements (APA format)

  • Length: 10 pages (not including title page or references page)
  • 1-inch margins
  • Double spaced
  • 12-point Times New Roman font
  • Title page

SPD 400 GCU ClassroomManagement Letter

SPD 400 GCU ClassroomManagement Letter

Classroom Management Letter

Teachers should be intentional and systematic in the way they manage their classroom considering the linguistic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds of the students. Clear classroom management plans help to reduce confusion and set clear expectations for students accounting for their interests, academic, social and behavioral needs. It is also beneficial for teachers to share their classroom management plans with other stakeholders such as the parents or guardians of the students.

You have recently been hired to teach a sixth grade inclusive classroom at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. Your principal has asked you to write a 500‐750 word letter to the parents of your students outlining your classroom management plan.

Within your letter, address the following:

  • Evidence‐based strategy you use within your classroom management plan that positively influences the behavior of students with disabilities .
  • Classroom setting and how it promotes a safe, culturally responsive, and engaging learning environment through meaningful activities and social interactions for students with disabilities .
  • Student behavioral expectations for success.
  • Fostering respectful communication within the classroom environment.
  • Considering GCU’s Integration of Faith and Work, honoring the dignity and diversity of all students and valuing the experiences of students .
  • Description of individual or group contingency plan you may use, such as token economy.
  • Working collaboratively with school personnel and parents/guardians to support the needs of the student.
  • Methods you will use to communicate behavioral concerns with parents/guardians and how often you will use them.

Include a brief introduction of yourself and formal closing.

Support your findings with 2‐3 scholarly resources.

While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and in‐text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations of successful completion.
