Parent/Family Flyer Assignment – It’s time for another flyer! Something I love about this course is that you have less essay-type assignments and more practical “use this in your classroom tomorrow” assignments. I encourage you to use the Microsoft Word flyer templates. They are free, easy to use, and look professional! Here are just some of the flyers that you can access in Word:

You will name and describe four activities that encourage family involvement, but remember that this is a flyer, so those descriptions will be brief.

Parent and family involvement is crucial in early childhood education. Creating strong partnerships with families will help support young children in their development. It is up to the early childhood educator to facilitate these partnerships and to encourage parent and family involvement. For this assignment, you will create a flyer for parents using the “Flyers” template in Microsoft Word. You must create an engaging and interesting flyer that will entice parents to become involved in the classroom. Identify and describe at least four activities that will encourage parent/family involvement. When choosing your activities, review Chapter 6 to ensure that your ideas are culturally sensitive. You are required to include at least one activity that is discussed in Chapter 6. Provide a title and a short description for each activity. Include one scholarly source in addition to the text to support your activities. The flyer should be no longer than two pages. Be sure to include APA formatted references for the textbook and the additional scholarly source on the bottom of the flyer.

What competitive advantages could a skilled HR manager deliver at an organization committed to improving its talent management?

Assignment 2: New Supervisor Training on Performance Evaluations

Now that the position has been created, you’ve taken the opportunity to create a PowerPoint presentation to train new supervisors on how to conduct performance evaluations.

Whether you use an annual evaluation, real-time feedback, or quarterly evaluations, it is important that new supervisors understand:

  • the rationale for a performance evaluation in general,
  • the rationale for the specific one in use,
  • the instrument used, and,
  • the process for the evaluation.

The PowerPoint presentation should be a minimum of 10 slides with graphics and Notes Pages.

NOTE: One of the positions the new supervisors will be conducting performance evaluations on is the job in your description from Week 3. Find creative ways to incorporate your work from that assignment into this one.

Your assignment must follow these formatting requirements:

Finally, from Ch. 9, pay special attention to Ch. 9 and specifically the section on HRM’s Contribution to High Performance, starting on page 272 of our book. Also, pay attention to figure 9.3 Employee Performance as a Process material on page 274.

Finally, PLEASE add your references in APA format on an additional and final ‘Reference’ slide. If you do all of this, you should have no problem creating ten slides with speakers notes.

Teachers must employ a variety of assessments, instructional strategies, and intervention techniques to support their students who are displaying behaviors that are getting in the way of successful learning in the classroom. If initial classroom management efforts are unsuccessful in helping such a student, then it is often determined that the situation warrants a behavior plan. For a behavior plan to be successful, it is imperative that stakeholders collaborate to support the student in reducing the occurrence of challenging behaviors and increasing appropriate behaviors. When appropriate, the student should also be involved in the development of the behavior plan. Providing students with choices and involving them in decision‐making aids in the development of self‐advocacy and self‐determination.

For this benchmark, you will propose a behavioral intervention plan for a student based on the information provided in “Student Scenario: Joseph.” Use the “Proposal for Behavior Change Template” to complete this assignment.

Part 1: Data Collection and Definition of Student Behavior

Describe Joseph’s behaviors on the ABC chart using the “Proposal for Behavior Change Template” provided. Create one measurable, observable operational definition for Joseph’s challenging behavior.

Part 2: Analysis of Data

The hypothesis is a best guess of the cause of the function of behavior that summarizes the observations. It includes the when (antecedent or trigger), the what (behavior of student), and the why (outcome student’s target behavior: attention, tangible, or escape).

Part 3: Intervention Ideas and Replacement Behaviors

Based on your analysis of the FBA data and the operational definition for Joseph’s behavior, identify an appropriate replacement behavior.

Part 4: Proposed Intervention Plan

Propose an intervention plan that outlines one goal for Joseph and includes the following:
