Virtual Environment
A virtual environment is an online environment where things can be posted, participated in, and manipulated by the users. Virtual environments encompass things like virtual reality, multi-user games, shared communities or similar. When you complete this week’s assignment, think about whatvirtual environments you spend time in. Below are some links to examples of virtual reality environments.
HoloLens: Holographic computer that allows you to interact with hologram
Active Worlds: Users create their own worlds and custom 3D content
Write a 2- to 3-page paper in APA format that describes the pros and cons of this type of environment. Make sure to include the following information within your paper.
1.Describe what virtual environments you use (e.g., World of Warcraft, fantasy football, Second Life).
2.Share how long you spend in these environments. Fun fact: The average American spends nearly eight hours a day staring at screens (computer, phone, TV, etc.).
3.Is new virtual reality technology, such as Oculus Rift, the same as an environment such as Fantasy Football or Facebook? Why or why not?
4.How might you apply the functionalism theory to explain the virtual environment experience for someone with social anxiety issues?
5.Include how each of the perspectives explains the concept of virtual reality/environments. Try to view the problem from each perspective by asking the kinds of questions a theorist would ask if they were a functionalist, conflict theorist, or symbolic interactionist. For this this assignment, you could ask yourself:
oWhat is the function of virtual reality/environment? What role does this play in our culture? (Functionalism)
oWhat conflicts arise because of virtual reality/environments? How do you feel about the technology gap? Is there inequality present? (Conflict theory)
oWhat does virtual reality/environment mean to us as a society? When we interact on the Internet, explore virtual environments, and make connections online, what do these relationships mean? (Symbolic interactionism)
This is a discussion post, 3-4 sentences will suffice. The response needs to be comprehensive. Please list references which must include the course reference listed at the bottom.

What is most important is that you use YOUR OWN WORDS to summarize the news article. It is essential that you do not copy text directly from the Internet. Plagiarism is unacceptable. You can easily avoid this by rephrasing the contents and summarizing it using your own words.
SPD 400 Benchmark – Proposal for Behavior Change Plan
Benchmark – Proposal for Behavior Change Plan
Teachers must employ a variety of assessments, instructional strategies, and intervention techniques to support their students who are displaying behaviors that are getting in the way of successful learning in the classroom. If initial classroom management efforts are unsuccessful in helping such a student, then it is often determined that the situation warrants a behavior plan. For a behavior plan to be successful, it is imperative that stakeholders collaborate to support the student in reducing the occurrence of challenging behaviors and increasing appropriate behaviors. When appropriate, the student should also be involved in the development of the behavior plan. Providing students with choices and involving them in decision‐making aids in the development of self‐advocacy and self‐determination.
For this benchmark, you will propose a behavioral intervention plan for a student based on the information provided in “Student Scenario: Joseph.” Use the “Proposal for Behavior Change Template” to complete this assignment.
Part 1: Data Collection and Definition of Student Behavior
Describe Joseph’s behaviors on the ABC chart using the “Proposal for Behavior Change Template” provided. Create one measurable, observable operational definition for Joseph’s challenging behavior.
Part 2: Analysis of Data
The hypothesis is a best guess of the cause of the function of behavior that summarizes the observations. It includes the when (antecedent or trigger), the what (behavior of student), and the why (outcome student’s target behavior: attention, tangible, or escape).
Part 3: Intervention Ideas and Replacement Behaviors
Based on your analysis of the FBA data and the operational definition for Joseph’s behavior, identify an appropriate replacement behavior.
Part 4: Proposed Intervention Plan
Propose an intervention plan that outlines one goal for Joseph and includes the following:
Replacement behavior and specific steps to be implemented that will help Joseph reach each goal.
Strategies to manage activities and social interaction through collaboration with general educators and other colleagues .
Rewards and reinforcements you will use with Joseph.
A plan to monitor progress by gathering ongoing data from colleagues and student’s family .
Steps to resolve any escalation of behavior safely and appropriately .
Be sure to incorporate appropriate intervention and replacement behavior ideas identified in Part 3.
Part 5: Reflection
In a 250‐500 word summary reflect upon how you, in your future professional practice, will ensure formal and informal assessments of student behaviors are unbiased and technically sound, considering culture, language, gender, and ability differences.
Support your template responses with 1‐2 scholarly resources.
While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and in‐text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Decide what the strategic issues are.
Begin your analysis with some number crunching.
Apply the concepts of strategic analysis.
Check out conflicting opinions
Support your opinions with reasons and evidence.

Your analysis and recommendations should be supported with high-quality evidence, including textbooks and peer-reviewed academic journal articles covering the appropriate topics that apply to your specific problem from the following list:
2. List at least two strengths and weaknesses of the approach used
3. If you prefer the current method, then discuss how the process might be improved? If you don’t prefer the current estimating method, then provide a justification of why the method should be changed.
4. Which approach is best for the project on planning phase?
As we continue this week learning about emotional biases, the purpose of this assignment is to evaluate and compare these biases to the other biases we have already covered: Belief Perseverance Biases and Information Processing Biases.
For this assignment, respond to the following:
Briefly describe emotional biases in your own words. (hint – use your concept map!).
Analyze and report on the similarities between emotional biases and belief preservation biases and between emotional biases and information processing biases. Then discuss the differences.
Conclude with an analysis of how the management methods of emotional, belief preservation and information processing biases are similar and how they differ.
(NOTE: Please kindly notice that the assignment is related MBA Finance course–check the textbook of “Behavioral finance and wealth management: how to build optimal portfolios: that account for investor biases” (2nd edition)).
Your papers for this course should include substantial academic research beyond the textbook. Select academic papers addressing the topic for their contributions and findings. Simply reiterating the textbook is not meeting the expectations for these written assignments.
