As you progress through the phases of your project, you will be gathering data through your research. As you discovered in this week’s reading, both qualitative and quantitative data are useful when conducting research. Again, the board should provide proper education and training to employees to follow standards, regulations, and rules of the organization, which in turn instill them knowledge of fraud and abuse, example, demonstrating to employees how profitable the company can be to them when they abide by the rules. Additionally, the board should monitor audit internally and respond accordingly to the reported deficiencies (Totten, 2014). Regular risks assessments and audits help to recognize and stop areas of possible concerns, giving special attention and review. Punctual and consistent response help reduce losses in the hospital. Board is also held responsible for enforcing disciplinary standards communicated extensively.
