Organizational Culture and Readiness Assessment
Change is inevitable, and organizations need to ensure that they are open to or ready to change. By embracing change, organizations benefit from numerous benefits, including improving their efficiency and productivity. Failure for an organization to embrace change, they losses their market share to their competitors, and they may be eventually driven out of business. Also, it creates a bad reputation for its customers as they feel dissatisfied with the services provided. Health organizations need to assess their readiness for change before implementing new procedures, technologies, or policies. A change readiness assessment helps the management to gauge the organization’s preparedness to change. When implementing EBP, the management needs to review different organization components, including organizational culture, knowledge and skills, resources, and others. In this assignment, the “Organizational Readiness for Change Assessment (ORCA) tool” was applied to evaluate the organization’s readiness to change. ORCA is a tool proposed by Sharp and Sales.

Proposed Solution: (a) Describe the proposed solution (or intervention) for the problem and the way(s) in which it is consistent with current evidence. Outcome Impact: Describe the impact the outcomes will have on one or all of the following indicators: quality care improvement, patient-centered quality care, efficiency of processes, environmental changes, or professional expertise.
