For the first preliminary question, I chose that torture is not always morally wrong. Torturing a suspect can trigger them to disclose useful information especially when other evidence shows a high chance for involvement in the crime. It holds therefore that assessing the circumstances before torturing would be very necessary. For the second question, I held that morality of an action is a measured in its ability to maximize the overall happiness of the people involved. In my opinion, morals present the best that can be justified under all conditions by most of the people involved. For the third question, my answer is that everyone has a right to life and that right needs to be protected in all circumstances if death could be avoided.
