The design of conducting research is through following a scientific method where they have to develop a hypothesis that will be proven either true or false. That is followed by testing a small population segment to gather the relevant data. Unlike research, QI begins with known data and optimizing it for further understanding (Hall, Lee, & Haase, 2020).
