Experiential Essay

An experiential essay is a reflective/research paper that demonstrates understanding of the experiential

learning process by aligning personal experience with the learning outcomes of an Ashford University

undergraduate course. College-­level learning or knowledge can be acquired outside the traditional college classroom setting through documented work experience, volunteerism, community activities, travel, artistic endeavors, and hobbies.

Management and Leadership Training

                 I have undertaken leadership and management roles in Metro plus Health Plan/HHC for 1year (since 2017) which include but not limited to training and orientation of new staff in the conduct of the comprehensive medical chart. Also delegated management duties to health community providers and office managers and maintained innovation and administrator roles. Also, lead the medical record validation audit to ensure accuracy in all the records.  In the earlier six years (2011 to present) in Metro Plus, I managed a team to support the HEDIS/QARR process. For four years (2003 to 2007) also maintained a large scale referral system in Coney Island Hospital. In the Municipal Training center for 20 hours did medical record management attaining an A and medication administration for 40 hours achieved an A in August 1998 – March 1999.
