Psychosocial theory
Prior to completing this assignment, read Chapter 11 and 12 and Section 14.1 and 14.5 in your textbook and read The Development of Adolescent Social Cognition (Links to an external site.)
The purpose of this assignment is for you to continue working on elements that will become part of your Community Center Proposal Final Project. This week, you will be creating three activities that will become part of the infant room, early childhood room, and adolescent room of your center that address psychosocial development.
Using Erikson’s and/or Kohlberg’s theories of psychosocial and moral development, you will continue to build your Community Center Proposal by identifying activities that promotes psychosocial development.
Focus on the primary developmental tasks of each age period. For each of the three activities, write a paragraph that addresses the following:
Describe the age appropriate activity in some detail as it relates to developmental theory (provide more than just the name of the activity).
Identify the specific concept from psychosocial theory that supports the use of this activity.
Identify how the activity enhances psychosocial development (this can be emotional, cultural, and moral development) in the child and adolescent.
Developmental science
INSTRUCTIONS: The submitted paper will examine how the results obtained in developmental science may be biased due to extensive focus on WEIRD samples. This acronym reflects the notion that much of developmental research and psychological science more generally) has been conducted on participants from Westernized societies who are Educated and from Industrialized, Rich, Democratic nations. Then watch the movie Babies. The majority of the paper will focus on discussion of your observations pertaining to the differential influence of cultural beliefs and parenting behaviors on infant development. In addition, you will examine how your development was shaped by an aspect of your cultural heritage.

Cross-cultural psychology research
Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper in which you analyze cross-cultural psychology. As a part of your analysis, do the following:
Provide an overview of the case study.
Use the case study to provide a definition and an example of cultural and cross-cultural psychology.
Analyze the relationship between cultural psychology and cross-cultural psychology.
Discuss the methodology associated with cross-cultural psychology research.
Discuss how the case study helps you better understand how ethnicity, race, and worldviews are separate yet related concepts.
Discuss how enculturation may play a role in the case study you have chosen.
Intelligence test
locate at least three articles concerning intelligence testing.
Note: You can utilize Microsoft Word or PowerPoint to make the Brochure if that is easier for you.
Create a brochure for a local elementary school. Consider your audience, as this information would likely be distributed during meetings where a child might have received an intelligence test. Your brochure would be given to parents, guardians, and others to help them better understand the purpose of intelligence testing.
Include the following in your brochure:
Provide a brief overview of at least two theories of intelligence related to the content of your selected articles to help your audience understand what intelligence testing accomplishes.
Discuss methods of measuring intellectual functioning.
Discuss how the concept of intelligence is different from academic achievement.
Include 3 credible, peer-reviewed references.
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Select a psychological disorder, as well as a local organization that provides mental health services.
The Disorder for this Paper is Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Research the organization’s website or speak to someone within the organization.
Write a 700- to 1,050-word paper in which you examine your selected psychological disorder in the context of the chosen organization’s goals. Include the following in your paper:
Identify the multiple cultures that the organization serves.
Identify the symptoms of your selected disorder, and describe how the interpretation of the symptoms varies across cultures.
Discuss how the impact of culture affects interpretations of symptoms and recommendations of services for that organization.
Include a minimum of 3 credible, peer-reviewed references.
