Question to answer in essay:

  • Can law be used to challenge deep-seated social problems and achieve meaningful social change? First, using course materials, (1) choose one social problem that you would like to focus on. Tell us about this problem, and why you see it as a problem. Second, using course materials, please explain how you would (2) define “meaningful social change.” This can take up reform and/or abolitionist frameworks. Third, using course materials, (3) explain why or why not you believe that law can be used successfully toward attaining your vision of social change.
