The format is to include title page, abstract, body, and bibliography. References and citations are to be in APA format. The length of the body of each paper is to be 1500 words, written in 12-point font and double-spaced. Papers are to be submitted through the course website.

Students can select a topic of their choice for each paper. For each paper, students must choose a criminal case that has been covered by the media. Besides using your textbooks as a source, you must also use five other additional outside sources for your paper, two of these should be scholarly in nature. For example, you may use the internet, academic journal databases, books, encyclopedias, videos, newspapers, etc.

Explanation of content requirements

Each abstract must contain a strong thesis statement that explains what the paper will cover.

The body of the paper must include all required parts listed below and be at least 1500 words.

There must be at least 5 sources other than your textbook. (Wikipedia does not count towards this requirement)

There must be a title page, abstract and bibliography that do not count toward your length requirement.

Each of the following must be included under a subheading in the paper:
